What occasions do you write poetry for?

Almost anything, be it anniversary gifts, commemorative poems, place settings, wedding favours, corporate messaging and events, birthday gifts, hen parties, baby showers, christenings or gifts for new parents!

How much time do you need?

The more time we have the smoother the process and the less pressure on you so I do recommend getting in touch as early as possible - I’m yet to meet anyone that enjoys having to fill in a last-minute spreadsheet…!

• For singular poems - I do appreciate these are often last-minute gift ideas and I will always help you meet your dates where I can!

• For place setting poems, the most important thing is to get your dates in the diary to ensure availability. Please allow at least three months for the full process.

How much does it cost?

Prices will vary based on the length of your poem. As a guideline:

• Wedding favour/ place setting poems from £9

• Bespoke “longer” poems (12 lines+) from £45

• For tight turnaround times (less than 3 days for singular poems or 3 months for wedding favours), a discretionary rush fee of 15%-30% will apply per poem depending on exact deadlines and volumes.

What are your payment terms?

In order to commence work, we require:

• A 50% deposit for poems totalling over £100 (remainder due upon your receipt of drafts); and

• Full payment for poems under £100.

Do you offer printing/ illustration services?

Yes, we do! We work with some really talented people and are happy to coordinate/ introduce you.

• For bespoke illustrations, we have partnered with an amazing artist who would be happy to discuss your brief.

• If you would like us to take care of the design and printing for you, we can send a selection of templates and print options for you to choose from.

• We can also introduce you to wonderful stationery designers we have worked with in the past to come up with unique designs that tie in with your themes and visions!

How much information do you need from me?

• For longer poems, the more information that we have, the better as we can create something really personal - although we can work with whatever you share with us. We’ll send a questionnaire to guide you and go from there!

• For place settings, again, the more information we have, the more personal we can make the poems but we can work off pretty limited detail (three or four facts) and still create something fun for your tables!

Can I request edits?

Yes of course! You will be sent drafts to review and sign off prior to receiving the final versions. We completely understand that sometimes details or circumstances change - people move countries, relationship statuses might not be what they were when you filled in the spreadsheet and if those details are referenced in your poems we can easily amend!

Do you have a refund policy?

Given the time it takes to write individual poems we are unable to offer refunds - though we haven’t yet encountered anyone who hasn’t been delighted with the end result! You are also very welcome to suggest tweaks during the “review” stage to make sure you’re happy (see above).

What are the usage terms?

Each poem is written just for you, and we want it to be treasured! Here's what to know:

• Your poem is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use — such as gifting, reading aloud, or framing.

• Please don’t reproduce, sell copies, or use it in ads, products, or promotional content without our consent - we are very happy to discuss commercial enquiries so please get in touch if that’s the case!
